::sigh:: What a busy couple of weeks we have had. Law school has kept me rediculously busy (image that) and David had been dealing with problems at work arising from the beef recall. With so much going on, we haven't had much of a chance to even ask the other how their day was. So on Monday night, I get out of a Board of Barristers negotiations competition kinda late and notice that I have a missed call on my cell phone from David. I give him a call back to check in, and this is how the conversation goes...
David: call me back when you get a chance to talk
Becky: why, what's going on?
David: I just need to talk to you.
Becky: About what??
David: I just need to talk to you about life.
So, when this kind of statement comes up, I get worried. It sounds like something is wrong...like "this is serious." When I get all done and break away from the crowd, I call him back. Turns out he wanted to talk about the 50" plasma TV he was getting ready to order the next day. So, for the next few weeks our "life" will be about our new TV. Don't get me wrong...I am almost as excited as David. I am about 10 episodes behind in Lost and it is going to be great to watch on those episodes on our new TV. Hopefully it will arrive soon, and we get get it mounted on the wall and enjoy it.
"Um, excuse me, I - I think you forgot my bread."
"Bread, two dollars extra."
"Two dollars? But everyone in front of me got free bread."
"You want bread?"
"Yes, please."
"Three dollars!"
"What?"
"No soup for you!"
- George and the Soup Nazi, in "The Soup Nazi"
