Well, we spent the whole weekend tiling our countertops, just to get rid of the blue formica, described by the flooring guy at the hardware store as "country blue." Since the weather was so beautiful, we had the garage door open and the door to the kitchen open to the garage.

As we were hard at work, our neighbor from across the street was nice enough to come in and tell us our fence is old and decrepit, and probably needs to be worked on. Apparently, some time last week, our sweet girl, Ruka, was wandering around in the street in front of our house. Our neighbor was nice enough to put her back in our yard. A few minutes later, Ruka was out again, so she was nice enough to bring Ruka back to the yard again. She then realized that a significant portion of our fence had fallen down, so she brought over a hammer and some nails, and nailed the pickets back up on the fence. Who says Texans aren't friendly and helpful?

Anyway, the project snowballed into a bigger project than it was supposed to be. We ended up with a new sink, and have yet to get the grout in. It will be done soon…I don't know how long I can live without a kitchen sink.

Congrats on your new countertops. Also, we're glad we're still you're only "friend or family" listed on the links part of your blog
